GRAFTING WORKSHOP

ISU Scott County Extension is offering a Grafting Workshop on Friday March 30th from 7:00-9:00 PM at the ISU Scott County Extension office. Dr Patrick O'Malley, ISU Extension field specialist, will demonstrate a "whip and tongue graft" and help participants graft two trees of their own to take home.

For the registration fee of $25.00 each participant gets two rootstocks. A couple may register together for $35.00 and get two rootstocks to share between them. Anyone can purchase additional rootstock for $5.00 each.

INTERNATIONAL MASTER GARDENER CONFERENCE

It is 2007 and that means there are only a few short months until the International Master Gardener Conference in Little Rock. We have had a wonderful response but have become aware that there are Master Gardeners in some states who have not received any information. We would appreciate state and province leaders forwarding this newsletter to all Master Gardeners in your area. If you are an individual MG who knows of other MG's who have not gotten our information, please forward this newsletter or just suggest that they phone us directly at 501-671-2174. Please remember your MG friends and acquaintances that do not have e-mail since that has been our primary means of communication. We look forward to having a top-notch conference and hope to have participants from many states and provinces.

Registration:
We now have over 800 folks registered. Registration now through April 1 is $275. Registration information and applications can be downloaded from the website http://mg2007.uaex.edu.
